The House
Inside Villa Aurelia
Aurelia was built by a shipping family in the sixties and kept low ever since: five rooms around a courtyard of bougainvillea, a path of one hundred and four steps down to the water, and a kitchen that answers to the morning market. We have looked after the house, and its keepers, for eleven years.
