Our Story
The People Behind the Collective
Panthera Collective began with a simple frustration: the best houses in Africa were the hardest to find, and the booking rarely matched the wilderness. So we built a small office that knows each one personally.
Amara Okello
Amara grew up on the edge of the Mara and trained as a conservation biologist before turning to travel. She has spent twenty years guiding, photographing, and building relationships with the owner-families behind our houses.
Her eye for wildlife and her network across East Africa shape every itinerary we design — and she still travels each property herself before it joins the collection.
Tendai Moyo
Tendai began as a walking-safari guide in the Luangwa Valley and spent fifteen years leading expeditions across Southern Africa and the Delta.
He leads our guiding partnerships and conservation programmes, ensuring every stay returns value to the land and the communities who protect it.
What We Stand For
Principles that shape every journey
Travelled, Not Listed
We only represent houses we have personally stayed at and guided from.
Small On Purpose
A deliberately tiny collection so every property gets our full attention.
Conservation First
Every stay funds the conservancies and concessions that protect the wild.
People We Trust
Long relationships with the owner-families and guides on the ground.
