The Sacred Grove
The name Azura is inspired by the infinite blue where sky meets sea along Kenya’s coast — a meeting point of worlds, of land and ocean, of stillness and movement. The Mijikenda people have long revered these coastal lands. Their sacred forest groves served as fortified villages and spiritual sanctuaries — not merely ecological treasures but living archives of memory, ritual, and identity. In naming this place Azura, we honour that sense of sanctuary.
